Master before/after

I had been working on the foyer and dining room so much and changing them so many times it was making me crazy until finally I put together what I had and was satisified with it then left them alone.  Well, I say them but the truth is I have destroyed my foyer.  You see, I just can't seem to get the look I'm after, just yet anyway.  So I let it be for now and started working on my master bedroom two days ago.  I'm quiet pleased with it now.  I need to add a few more things but I will quit rambling and show you

I tried the darker paint in the top pic and although dh liked it I couldn't stand it.  It seemed to suck in all the light and it was driving me nuts so I took paint I already had and mixed it and got this colour. Now I want to paint the entire house in it lol  I'm really loving it can't you tell?!  The bed, I've had for too many years was painted black about 4 years ago and also seemed to suck the life out of this room so I sanded the footboard wich came out quiet nicely, I think.  Then again, anything is better than the way it was.  My plan is to upholster the headboard but it has to wait for now because I don't have time to mess with it before Thanksgiving and knowing I have more important things to do (try to put a few more rooms together) is making me put it on the backburner.  I'm certain a few of you can relate.

Any way, I had found the mirror about a year ago for $20.  I had it in our dining room before we redone it.  So, yesterday I enlisted the help of my 11y/o to help (stand on the board so I can cut it) with the frame

Then I put dh to work putting it together.  It was just an old long board that has been sitting outside patiently waiting to find it's purpose and now it has:)

Here it is again:)  Now it's a place I actually want to be and I'm happy you stoped in to take a look.
